The Early Wonder Beet dates back to 1811. A beautiful red beet variety that produces 2-3″ slightly flattened roots that are great eaten fresh, pickled or canned.

Early Wonder is also known as “Tall Top” Beet, this variety produces tall, tender greens that are delicious to eat! These greens make a great substitute for chard and other greens. They’re great in salads and very rich in vitamin A and C.

This is a great beet to start in flats and transplant out.
Large healthy edible tops as well.

Beets best color and flavor develop under cool conditions and bright sun. When beets mature in warm weather, they are lighter colored, have less sugar and have more pronounced color zoning in the roots.
