Black Beauty Eggplant

An Heirloom traditional favorite. This big, glossy, deep-purple skinned eggplant has been preferred by gardeners for more than100 years.  The Black Beauty Eggplant bears early, has an excellent flavor and is prolific.  The fruit produced by this variety can reach up to 8 inches long and weigh up to a 2 pounds each.  The Black Beauty is a bushy spreading plant that grows up to 32 inches tall. Perennial grown in warmer climates and as an annual in cool climates. Commonly used in stews, sauces, baked, fried, stuffed and grilled. Eggplant is also known as "Aubergine".

Open pollinated means this plants flowers are fertilized by bees, moths, birds, bats, and even the wind or rain. The seed that forms produces the same plant the following year.
